The book selection for the October meeting is The Indigo Girl by Natasha Boyd. This is a historical novel about a young girl who helps save a South Carolina plantation by cultivating indigo dye for major export in 1739. Her endeavors and experimenting led to creating this dye. This month's walk will be on the third Monday of the month instead of the usual second Monday because of the Columbus Day holiday. We will meet at the commuter lot on Wolfpit Ave. and will walk the Norwalk Valley Trail. Bring appropriate shoes and water. No need to sign up.
